New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) offers 60+ programs to support New Jersey's business community, from entrepreneurs with an idea, to multinational corporations investing in new facilities. Some of the most popular programs in Somerset County:

  • Manufacturing Voucher Program: Subsidizes the purchase of new equipment and systems used in the manufacturing process (up to $250,000)
  • Small Business Improvement Grant: Reimburses New Jersey business owners (up to $50,000) for costs associated with making interior and/or exterior building improvements, and/or purchasing/installing NEW furniture, fixtures and/or equipment.
  • Technology Business Tax Certificate Transfer Program: Enables unprofitable NJ-based technology or biotechnology companies with fewer than 225 US employees to sell a percentage of net operating losses and R&D tax credits to unrelated profitable corporations.

Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) undertakes policy and planning to ensure the workforce system is meeting the needs of employers and job seekers.
