Before applying, be sure to check your availability for the 2026 session dates. Attendance at the first session is required to participate in the program. The application form includes essay-type questions which are designed to provide insight into your level of interest in leadership and community engagement.

All applicants must either live or work in Somerset County NJ to be eligible.

2026 Application

Information sessions are offered in September and October. The brief virtual sessions give potential applicants an overview of the Leadership Somerset program and an opportunity to ask program fellows about their experience.

The 2026 Leadership Somerset program consists of monthly, full-day seminars, which run from about 8 AM to 4:30 PM, on the following dates:

January 21 (mandatory attendance)
February 18
March 18
April 15
May 20
June 17
July 15
August 19
September 16
October 21
November 18
December 9

The 2026 program fee is $450 which covers participation in all seminars,  program materials, and meals (lunch).

Some limited financial assistance is available. There is no fee to apply.
