The Somerset County Agriculture Development Board presents After the Harvest! This activity book is filled with fun activities, coloring pages, and some interesting fact about the history of agriculture in Somerset County. Books can be downloaded here or are available in Somerset County libraries.
This year we want to share what happens on a farm after the height of market season. After the summer sun has set, the last pumpkin has been picked, and the corn maze has seen its last lost soul - farmers are still hard at work to ensure their operation remains viable during the cold winter months while planning the year ahead. A farmer’s job is never done! Learn about some of the animals that call our farms home: from zonkey to the dairy cow to the mighty honey bee!

Staff to the Somerset County Agriculture Development Board worked to develop multiple curriculums that could be done at home during the height of the stay at home orders. The hope was to give children the ability to still play outdoors in their own backyards – learning about the wild and wonderful ecosystem around them.
