The purpose of this page is to provide information on current construction projects involving Somerset County roads, bridges, traffic signals, and major parks projects.  The page is updated when there is a change to the status of a project.

County Construction Projects 

• 2024 Road Resurfacing and ADA Compliance Program  [UPDATED 1/14/2026]

• Pottersville Road (CR 512) Bridge D1302, Peapack Gladstone [UPDATED 2-3-2026]

• Stirling Road (CR 653) Bridge L1014, Warren Twp  [ADDED 2-4-2026]

Other Construction Work (e.g. utility work)

• Stonehouse Rd (CR 615), Bernards Twp - The segment of Stonehouse Road (CR 615) between Valley Road (CR 512) and Haas Road is now reopened to all through traffic, as of Wednesday (2/11) 2:45pm.  Emergency repairs to Bridge H1109 are now complete. [UPDATED 2-11-2026  2:45pm]
  
  
• Talmadge Ave (CR533) Bound Brook - New Jersey American Water will be doing a sewer main replacement project on Talmadge Ave from Tea Street to Main Street. Test holes and saw cutting work will be starting the week of 01/05/2026. Work hours will be 8:00pm-6:00am. Sections of Talmadge Ave will be closed during working hours, and a detour will be posted.
