South Middlebush Road (CR 615) at Intersections of Jacques Lane and Cortelyous Lane, Franklin Township

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

South Middlebush Road (CR 615) is an urban minor arterial that serves as a heavily traveled north-south route, connecting Amwell Road (CR 514) with State Route 27. The project limits extend from approximately 500 feet south of Cortelyous Lane to 1,500 feet north, reaching about 500 feet north of Jacques Lane. The existing intersections along South Middlebush Road are 3-leg, unsignalized intersections, consisting of the westbound Cortelyous Lane approach and the eastbound Jacques Lane approach.

This project is a public roadway safety improvement aimed at reducing traffic congestion on South Middlebush Road (CR 615) in Franklin Township. The primary goal is to better serve the needs of the public by widening South Middlebush Road to include left-turn lanes onto Cortelyous Lane and Jacques Lane. In addition to the left-turn lanes for South Middlebush Road, the project proposes left-turn lanes from Cortelyous Lane and Jacques Lane onto South Middlebush Road, as well as constructing the necessary roadway water quality and quantity (WQQ) trenches for both South Middlebush Road and the two side streets.
