Construction Announcement
[UPDATE 11-14-2025] As of 4:15pm today, the New Brunswick Road and reconstructed Bridge K0607 are now open to all through traffic.
This project's construction contract was awarded to CMS Construction, Inc. on February 25, 2025. The pre-construction meeting was held on May 1, 2025. Federal Funds are being used for construction work.
The New Brunswick Road Bridge K0607, located approximately 400 feet east of the Cedar Grove Lane (CR 619) intersection, was fully closed to vehicular and pedestrian/bicycle traffic, as of Monday, August 18, 2025 at 9:30am, for approximately 33 days. [UPDATE 9-5-2025] Additional work and modified material order was required due to unforeseen utility relocation conflicts with the 16” water main. Issues have been resolved and bridge work continues. Impacts to schedule are being evaluated now - update will be posted with new roadway reopening date. [UPDATE 10-22-2025] Bridge units and precast wall segments have been installed and backfilled. Gas main installation work is completed. The new water main has been installed, and water quality testing is in progress. Various roadway construction activities remain, including cast-in-place concrete elements, railing installation, paving, and striping. These tasks will be accelerated whenever possible. The current revised project completion for roadway reopening is on or about November 14th. Any updates will be posted as construction work progresses towards completion.
The Project Location Map can be viewed here. Advance notification signs indicating the start of this work were installed near the project site approximately two weeks prior to start of work.
A detour route will be posted along Cedar Grove Lane (CR 619), Easton Avenue (CR 527), Demott Lane and Amwell Road (CR5 14). Local access to driveways and businesses will be maintained. The Detour Plan can be viewed here.
