Easton Avenue (CR 527) from Franklin Boulevard/Landing Lane to Worlds Fair Drive
Project Description
Easton Avenue (CR 527) is a four-lane urban principal arterial with an Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) of approximately 41,000 Vehicles Per Day (VPD). Easton Avenue is a critical component of the regional transportation network, connecting I-287, South Bound Brook, and Bound Brook in the north, and downtown New Brunswick and a Raritan River crossing via Landing Lane in the south. Safety is a major concern along Easton Avenue.
Somerset County is conducting a Local Concept Development (LCD) Study to investigate options for improving safety along Easton Avenue from Franklin Boulevard / Landing Lane to Worlds Fair Drive in Franklin Township.
This study is federally funded through the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) working in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
