PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – COUNTY OF SOMERSET – APPLICATION TO THE GREEN ACRES PARK DEVELOPMENT FUNDING PROGRAM

PURPOSE: The County of Somerset is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Skillman Park located at Main Boulevard and the intersection of Main Boulevard and Belle Mead-Blawenburg Road in the Township of Montgomery, NJ.

PROJECT SCOPE: The County of Somerset proposes to create the following new facilities at Skillman Park: construction of a new maintenance facility, public bathrooms, and additional dog park pen; and implementation of dog water station and irrigation system. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment can be found at: https://www.somersetcountynj.gov/.

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 6.00 pm. The meeting will be held in-person, as part of the regularly scheduled County Commissioner meeting. PROJECT SCOPE: The County of Somerset proposes improvements at Green Knoll Golf Course: hydro-raking a pond located at hole number six. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment can be found at: https://www.somersetcountynj.gov/.
