Local Arts Program Grant (LAP)
Virtual Technical Assistance Workshops

The LAP grant enables the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA) to support local arts development within each of New Jersey's 21 counties through a competitive grant application process that awards funds to officially designated county arts agencies. The Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission (SCC&HC) is the agency officially designated in Somerset County to apply for, receive, and distribute grant funds from the NJSCA for this program.

County History Partnership Program Grant (CHPP)
Virtual Technical Assistance Workshops
August 5, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. & August 21, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.
The CHPP Grant Program was created in 2015 by the New Jersey Historical Commission (NJHC) to extend the administration of local re-granting programs to all of the state's 21 counties. This program enables the NJHC to support existing and emerging local history organizations, and other eligible non-profit organizations providing New Jersey history projects, programs, and services to benefit diverse public audiences. The Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission (SCC&HC) is the officially designated agency in Somerset County to apply for, receive, and distribute grant funds from the NJHC for this program.

In this presentation, Joe Zesski, Program Manager of the Northeast ADA Center, will discuss how to effectively communicate with individuals with disabilities in a digital space and share examples of how individuals with disabilities utilize screen readers or voice over technologies to interact with the web and social media.

Somerset County Historic Preservation Grant Technical Assistance Workshop

The Somerset County Historic Preservation Grant Program supports local history organizations that serve the public. Potential applicants include historical societies and organizations, nonprofits, or municipalities that are responsible for a historic structure or archaeological site. Free virtual technical assistance workshops are designed to help local organizations feel comfortable and prepared to submit an application for funding through the Somerset County Historic Preservation Grant.
