• All volunteers are screened and submit to a background check. 
• Perfect opportunity for skilled/ handy individuals, retired contractors, construction workers, carpenters, plumbers and electricians.
• Complete individual tasks or join teams completing larger projects.
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss current repair requests to select projects aligning with your skills and schedule.

• Labor is free, though clients expected to pay supply costs.
• If clients cannot afford to pay, we accept donations to defray supply costs.
• Examples of projects include: installing grab bars, changing batteries in smoke detectors and replacing light bulbs, or building exterior ramps for our Wheelchair Ramp Program.

• Must be age 18 or older.
• Experience isn't necessary; volunteers will be trained and receive U.S. IRS certification.
• Participate in a 6-month program (October to January) preparing participants to submit their taxes during (February to April).

Provides impartial information to Medicare beneficiaries and their families. Medicare is a complex health insurance program for people age 65+ and for people with certain disabilities. Medicare has different programs that help cover specific services.

• To get the most out of an appointment with a SHIP Counselor:
  1. Create a list of current prescriptions and health care needs.
  2. Review current health and prescription coverage.
  3. Review the 'Medicare & You Handbook' distributed annually to Medicare beneficiaries.
