Community Solutions Grants
The Somerset County Department of Human Services is pleased to offer Community Solutions Grant funding to support community-driven, evidence-based, and innovative projects that address the opioid epidemic and support residents impacted by substance use disorder. These grants are designed to empower local organizations, coalitions, and partners to implement solutions that strengthen prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery efforts across Somerset County.
Priority is given to projects aligned with the New Jersey Opioid Settlement Agreement, including initiatives that support individuals engaged in treatment and recovery, pregnant and post-partum individuals, justice-involved populations, overdose prevention, warm hand-offs to care, and evidence-based prevention strategies. Creative and collaborative proposals that bring together cross-sector partners are strongly encouraged.
Eligible applicants include for-profit organizations, nonprofit agencies (or those with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor), coalitions led by a 501(c)(3), and organizations in good standing with all applicable county, state, and federal requirements.
Together, these grants invest in local ideas with the power to create meaningful, community-level impact.
