Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report
PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
Pursuant to the provisions of federal regulation 24 CFR Part 570 and 24 CFR Part 91, Somerset County, New Jersey is providing notice of the availability of its draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the 2024 Program Year which began September 1, 2024 and ended August 31, 2025. The performance report is being prepared and will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in accordance with the submission deadline of November 30, 2025.
The County's draft CAPER will be available for review at the Somerset County Office of Community Development. Persons wishing to view or comment on the Program Year 2024 CAPER should contact the County during the comment period which begins on October 10th and ends on November 17th. Requests for the draft CAPER and all comments should be addressed to Jeremy Hirsch, Principal Planner, Somerset County Community Development Office, 27 Warren Street – 4th Floor, PO Box 3000, Somerville, NJ 08876-1262 or Hirsch@somersetcountynj.gov. All comments must include your name and municipality. Please note that all County offices are closed in observance of Veterans Day on November 11.
The CAPER will be the subject of review and discussion at a public hearing that will be held on November 6, 2025 at 5pm. In order to greater accommodate the public, this hearing will be both in-person and virtual. The in-person location of the hearing will be on the 4th floor at 27 Warren Street (the Human Services Building) in Somerville, NJ. Further details and a link for the virtual aspect of the hearing will be available at least 48 hours ahead of time on the Somerset County website at the following location: https://www.co.somerset.nj.us/government/human-services/community-development/cdbg-and-home/public-notices or interested parties may contact the Community Development Office at 908-541-5756. At that hearing, a summary of the CAPER will be presented. If you wish to attend and require translation services, you must let us know at least five (5) business days in advance.
